What do you need to know? (Preparing for processing).

Pest control in buildings

For the destruction of bedbugs, at least 2 treatments are required with an interval of 14 days. For the destruction of the rest of the crawling or flying insects (cockroaches, fleas, food or clothes moths, lice) 1 treatment is usually enough

The premises must be prepared before treatment.

The apartment should be vacuumed, paying special attention to the places where insects are concentrated. The premises must be provided with free access to any objects, mezzanines, corners of rooms. Furniture should be moved away from the walls by 20 cm, if possible. Remove items that you frequently touch, such as phones, remotes, keyboards, and personal hygiene items such as towels, soap, toothbrushes, sponges, etc. Also, do not leave pillows, toys, or small items on surfaces. Do not leave anything unnecessary on open shelves or on the surfaces of furniture. In the case of bed bugs, dust mites, it is desirable to free the cabinets, linen drawers and bedside tables. Bed linen should be folded in bags, then it should be washed at a temperature of not less than +60°C. If the bugs have been present for more than a month, it is advisable to unscrew the baseboards. Remove posters, rugs, pictures and other objects from the walls. If a rug cannot be removed from the floor or wall, make sure it can be easily moved or rolled up. If there is an aquarium in the room, turn off the compressor and cover it with a lid. In some cases, it is also necessary to remove the wallpaper if characteristic black dots are visible at the joints. If such spots are visible in the corners of the closet, the closet must be emptied of clothes so that it can be treated also from the inside. Clothes should be washed at +60°C. If it is not possible to wash at home, they can be taken to a public laundry or dry cleaner.

If possible, get rid of the infested mattress or sofa. A new mattress or sofa can be brought into the room 4 weeks after the poison is on the object.

The master may need water to prepare the working solution, so access to it should be unimpeded.

The poison is sprayed around the perimeter of the room and on the lower part of the furniture. It is desirable to free the lower shelves of the furniture. If bed bugs are found on the wall, the top perimeter and the cornices are also sprayed. If it is not possible to get rid of the sofa and mattress, they are also sprayed on all sides, including the bottom, lifting or turning them. All sleeping areas should be disassembled – the sofa should be unfolded or disassembled into parts, the bed, if possible, should be removed from the mattress and placed vertically. Bed bugs usually don’t live in the kitchen, bathroom or toilet, so treatment there is not necessary, but we are happy to treat these rooms as well, and it does not affect the price.

In case of cockroaches, food moths, more attention should be paid to the preparation of the kitchen and other rooms where there is water. It is necessary to free the kitchen cabinets. If the cabinets are built-in or cannot be moved, it is desirable to remove the baseboards (decorative strip along the lower edge of the furniture). Access to the back of the refrigerator, dishwasher is important.

The apartment, including people, pets, birds, must be vacated during the treatment and for 12 hours after it, without ventilation. The poison in the air is dangerous until it is completely dry. In a dry apartment, the poison dries out in 4-6 hours. After that, the poison is dangerous only when in contact with the treated surface. After the specified time, the rooms should be ventilated for 30 minutes without the presence of people.

If the customer wishes to observe or participate in the processing process, a FFFP3 respirator must be purchased and used.

After treatment, the poison must be washed off surfaces that come into contact with food, and where there is access for pets and small children (or people with dementia and other impairments of reasoning).

In the case of bed bugs, it is important not to leave the apartment empty for 2 weeks after treatment. A bed bug usually feeds once every 5-10 days. They are attracted by carbon dioxide and heat contained in the human breath. If there is no one in the apartment, bed bugs may stay in their hiding place, not come into contact with the poison and survive.

It is necessary to inform that there is a possibility that a particular colony of insects has developed resistance to a particular poison, and the treatment may not work. In this case, you need to either wait at least 2 weeks, or carefully wash the sprayed poison from all surfaces, we will have to come with another poison and process the required number of times. Poisons are not better or worse than each other, they just have different active substances. Such situations occur in less than 1% of cases.
.
Additionally, we warn that the furniture, walls or floor coverings that are able to absorb liquid may swell slightly (become saturated with moisture, increase in volume, become loose, porous) after treatment.

A properly prepared apartment for treatment.

Disinsection in territories.

The area is treated by spraying lawns, shrubs, hedges, trees and paved or paved areas, the lower parts of buildings, gutters and wind boxes, window openings up to 3 m high.

Termatism treatment should be planned according to weather conditions, it should not be carried out during rain or on a windy day.

During treatment and for 12 hours afterwards, people, pets, poultry or livestock should not be in the premises. Before treatment, toys, pets and children, food, food-related items, such as barbecue equipment, should be removed from the area.

In cases where neighboring property is located in close proximity to the treated area, it is recommended to notify neighbors about the planned treatment before treatment and ask neighbors to refrain from approaching people and pets to the treated area during treatment.

The poison should not enter water bodies, and at least 2 m of the surrounding area should be left untreated.

The treatment process, depending on the complexity (size, number of hedges, buildings, area of the territory), can take several hours.

Destroying wasps and hornets

The destruction of wasps and hornets should be carried out either early in the morning, before the insects have left their nest, or late in the evening, when they have already returned.

The prerequisite for successful disinsection is direct access to the insect nest. The nest during the treatment must not only be sprayed with poison, it must be physically disassembled, and the remains collected.

Ja zināma tikai kukaiņu iekļūšanas vieta mājā, tad tās apstrāde parasti nedod rezultātu.

If you only know the point of entry, then treatment is usually ineffective. If the nest is not visible or not easily accessible, before treatment, if necessary by involving a roofer or builder, parts of the house cladding or roof should be partially removed until the exact location and extent of the nest is determined.

To avoid the potential risk of anaphylactic shock, people without protective clothing and pets should not be near the treatment area during treatment. They should be either indoors or at least 100 m away. In cases where the property of neighbours is located closer than 100 m to the treated area, it is advisable to notify the neighbours of the planned treatment before treatment and ask the neighbours to refrain from being outdoors during treatment.

In cases where the nest cannot be reached with a 4 m ladder, additional costs for the hire of a lift or scaffolding should be expected.
